January 19, 2009 was a disappointing day for most Cleveland Cavalier fans. This day was highly anticipated because it was the first meeting of the year between the powerhouse Cavaliers in the East against the dominating Lakers in the West. The Lakers were favored by 5 points in this game, but well over half of the U.S. population figured the Cavs could win this game straight up. Despite going into halftime with a 1 point lead, the Cavs were outscored by 18 points in the second half leading to a disappointing 105-88 loss. The Lakers held LeBron James to only 23 points on 9 of 25 from the field. I am looking forward to this rematch on February 8 when the Lakers come to the "Q".
Yeah, this loss was disappointing. We held the lead at halftime, and got beat pretty bad in the second half. Things like this are going to happen and I hope we can bounce back and get on another roll.
ReplyDeleteNo way man, Lakers are the best! Kobe is way better than Lebron too. There are two reasons why you should want Kobe in the waning seconds over LeBron: 1. He is a better pure shooter. He has the ability to create a shot anywhere. He has made the most ridiculous attempts that we initially shake our heads at before we see the ball swish through the net. 2. He is a better free throw shooter. Kobe is an 84-percent career free throw shooter, while Lebron sits about 10 percentage points fewer at 73.2 percent for his career...
ReplyDeleteWhat you think about that?
Kobe Bryant may be a better basketball player, but I would much rather have LeBron on my team in the 4th quarter. No questions about it!
